Radio Caroline were awarded an AM community licence a couple of weeks ago.
They rather cheekily asked for 1 kW.
They've got it on 648 kHz...

Should cover Suffolk and Essex quite nicely...

Re: Radio Caroline Licence
its on testing today.
Here in the West Midlands the music is identifiable, but its not really listenable. Bit of splatter from Radio Wales on 657 kHz doesn't help.
Good effort tho...

A cheeky 25kw from what I was reading on a Peter Anthony snippet.Gary Edwards wrote: ↑Fri Nov 26, 2021 5:23 pm According to the Radio Caroline website, they have increased their power today.
I've been able to hear it during the daytime from their 1kw tx and now it's slightly better, although I only ever check in the car. I didn't expect much, my guess is that it's doing northern Europe better than it's doing the Midlands.
If you think I care, you're too far gone.

Re: Radio Caroline Licence
They have a 25 kW transmitter, but it is not run at full power.
My guess would be around 4-5 kW.
