Help setting up podcasts please read more

hey there what i need is some help in setting up podcasts so it will record our stream and cut it every 2 hours or so and i want it to auto matically upload onto a webserver with the possibility to display recordings on website with download links please anyone with info please get in touch

Have a look at your streaming encoder, you will probably find it has the option to copy the stream to a file. Use this option to create your MP3 files, this will be at the same bitrate and quality as your webstream.

If you require something a little more flexible which will give you the option to save at a different bitrate to your webstream, such as 128k or 192k stereo for example and have the files split at a length of your choice, then Google 'Radio Logger'. This should do what you want, there are other similar programs out there too.

As for uploading it a website etc, there are php scripts which you can integrate to your webpage to list to contents of a folder, whether that be local or other wise, and as for hosting the files, Cute FTP can keep local and remote folders in sync.
