Keith Rogers;
(Empire Radio/Sounds Alternative)
Plus progs for Radio 242/Radio Free Birmingham/County Radio.
I suggested the name Radio Free Birmingham during a few pints .Steve chose the name out of a hat and the rest is history

Just a quick note to say the County page has been updated today with an updated story and six new recordings, including some from the early days as Radio 242 and Radio Free Birmingham.

Re: County Radio
I remember the signal well that day,I was miles away but listening on a car radio.County were using the former sounds alternative 80 watt tx,and one of the Blades House sites that we used to use regulary.
Re: County Radio
Hi Keith,
I don't think the FM was coming from Blades House when I made these recordings on 16th March, because it would have been very weak at my location if that was the case.
When it was coming from West Brom over Easter '86, it was a very very poor signal with me on FM. The MW was strong though, at least during daylight hours.
Was and still am sad to hear the bad news of last week...

Re: County Radio
8 new/updated recordings have been added to the County page today.
If that's your bag, there have also been new recordings added the EST and Sounds Alternative pages too.
The files are labelled NEW or UPDATED.
