Nova FM

Post by Gary Edwards »

New community station for Newport Shropshire, Nova FM is now testing on 97.5 FM.

http://novafm.co.uk/

Some of the old Showtime people are involved.

Not expecting to get it over into the Black Country, but can be heard in Wellington, so should be okay over the other side of Telford.

STINGDEM are on 97.5 in Birmingham so no chance of it getting over here. Although the appear to have gone off air since the weekend.
Could be connected.

Signal is pretty crappy even within the town boundarys of Newport. I suspect the RDS Level is a bit low as well, as it takes a long time to pop up.

Suspect a few more will follow yet, money is getting hard to source for some of the stations.

They're not too far from me and I remember tuning in to listen when they switched on. Amazed at how shite the signal was and that's the total amount of me listening to them even though I've been into Newport fairly often. I even forgot that they were on air, pathetic really to have zero promotion anywhere, I never saw anything in the town.
If you think I care, you're too far gone.
