A recent post on the bandscan thread got me thinking.....

How long have Hot, Sting and Kriss been going now?

They must be the longest running West Midlands pirate stations by now?

Has anyone been on longer?

PCRL managed about 18 years. UK about 25 years..?..

i agree pcrl 103.5 done about 25 years sting been on over 20 years with hot 92 ex passion fm also kriss fm ex dub fm have had a long stint. many now day staions are fly by night stations not a lot on in the west mids think its time for a new one, not a internet stream,

Sting started in May 1998. I think Hot were a couple of years later but I have a vague memory that they were called Passion FM first - or maybe that was another station all together?

I think Kriss might have been going for around the same length of time as Sting, maybe longer, but can't quite remember when they came on.

Skyline had a very long run on FM too, from 1989 up until quite recently.

Ah yeah that's right, Dub FM 107.2. Then after that, Kriss was on 105 point something originally I think?

i forgot about skyline 94.2 are they still on. also remember frontline 106.3 was on for a few years aswell,
